PURPOSE:To improve reliability by a fail safe system by connecting a resistor current-limiting rush currents to a DC section in series with a capacitor. CONSTITUTION:An inverter device is constituted of a converter section 2 by a diode, an inverter section 6, a capacitor 5 and a DC-DC converter 9. The series body of a resistor 3 and the capacitor 5 is set up onto a line shared by two closed circuits of both a first closed circuit organized of the converter 2 and the capacitor 5 and a second closed circuit constructed of the capacitor 5 and the in verter 6. Accordingly, the resistor 3 inhibits rush currents flowing through the capacitor 5 when a power supply is turned ON in either of a time when the power supply is connected to input terminals 1 or a time when the power supply is connected erroneously to output terminals 8, thus preventing the damage of diodes 21-26, 71-76.
