PURPOSE:To enable even an unskilled plant maintenance operator to perform quick and proper maintenance jobs in accordance with each trouble, by using a knowledge base where the experiences and the knowledge of the skilled maintenance operators are previously stored in a memory element. CONSTITUTION:A situation grasping knowledge base 13, a faulty equipment extracting knowledge base 14, an inspecting knowledge base 15, a maintenance method deciding base 16 and a question/answer knowledge base 17 are connected to a situation grasping mechanism 3, a faulty equipment candidata extracting mechanism 4, an inspecting mechanism 5, a maintenance method deciding mechanism 6 and a question/answer mechanism 7 respectively. Each of these knowledge bases stores the knowledge needed for processing of each mechanism in each memory element. Thus the mechanisms 3-7 carry out their processings based on the information received from bases 13-17. Thus it is possible even for an unskilled maintenance operator to perform quick and proper maintenance jobs in accordance with each trouble. |
