PURPOSE:To detach a disk cartridge through the application of a small force by providing a projection at the internal face position of the cartridge, which is in contact with the outside surface of the information region of the face A and the face B of an optical disk. CONSTITUTION:A detaching motion is performed by starting the action of a vertical movement and lifting up the cartridge 3 by a loading mechanism 7. Then, the optical disk 1 is inclined against the disk plane of a supporting flange from a horizontal, expanding gradually an angle, and when it comes to a prescribed angle, the cartridge can be detached through the small force because of the reduction of a magnetism due to the increment of a distance from a magnet 6. Namely, after the attractive force of the magnet 6 is minimized without changing the loading mechanism 7 of a conventional type, the optical disk 1 is detached. Thus, the disk cartridge 3, which is attached by a strong attractive force and can be detached by a small force, is realized.
