PURPOSE:To obtain a deformed picture by deforming the picture stored in a 1st storing part with rotation to store this deformed picture into a 2nd storing part and reading the picture element data rotated by a read address to store this data at and after the set address position. CONSTITUTION:A pattern is obtained through a rotation process by combining a write address generating circuit 105 and a read address generating circuit 103. In other words, the picture element data designated by an address outputted from the circuit 103 in synchronism with a picture element synchronizing signal is read out of an intermediate picture buffer memory 102. At the same time, the read picture element data is written into an output picture buffer memory 104 with an address produced by the circuit 105 in synchronism with the picture element synchronizing signal. Therefore the number of picture elements read out of the memory 102 for each raster is smaller than the number of addresses produced when the picture element data is written into the memory 104 when the reduction rate of the picture element is less than 1. Thus the pictures reduced in the raster direction are successively written into the memory 104 for production of an output picture. |
