<p>PURPOSE:To rapidly and exactly perform a program searching by detecting the position of a video head in the longitudinal direction of a magnetic tape as an absolute position in using the beginning of the winding of the magnetic tape as a reference simultaneously with the start of the travel of the tape from a wound state at the time of loading a tape cassette. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 5 is provided with a counter, and this counter counts a reel pulse R, and at the same time, is reset to zero by a winding tape beginning signal St, and is cleared to zero by a tape not yet loaded signal E. At the time to search the head of a desired recorded program, an absolute counter value (set value Ns) to show the record beginning position of the desired recorded program, is set in a setting circuit 6. By this program searching operation, a change-over switch 2 is switched to P-side, and simultaneously, the magnetic tape is brought into a half loading state that is abuts on a control head but not on a cylinder, and starts a high speed travelling. Then, in the control circuit 5, the reel pulse R is supplied and counted by the absolute value counter, and the absolute value Na outputted from the absolute value counter is compared with the set value Na of the setting circuit 6.</p> |
