PURPOSE:To increase the arithmetic speed by using a module interface circuit to secure connection among arithmetic modules having high using frequencies without increasing the total number of bus interface circuits. CONSTITUTION:A bus interface module 15 consists of a bus interface circuit 13 connected to a ring bus 12 serving as a unidirectional data bus and a module interface circuit 14. The circuit 14 includes the output side and input side module interface circuits and has a function to secure connection among a single circuit 13 and arithmetic modules 16, 17 and 18 respectively. Thus it is possible to connect an arithmetic module having a high using frequency like a floating point arithmetic module, etc., and an arithmetic module to the same circuit 13. As a result, the connection is secured with arithmetic modules having high frequencies without increasing the total number of circuits 13. Thus the arithmetic speed is increased.
