A fully automated mechanised car park is equipped with a transport and lifting device 5 for transferring motor vehicles between the entrance and exit stations of the garage and the parking cells 4. The transport and lifting device 5 comprises a platform 8 provided with a support stand 17 comprising a central support structure 18, two series of horizontal support bars 19 separated from each other and coming in between the support bars arranged on the other side. Each parking cell 4 comprises a fixed support stand 29, also comprising two series of horizontal fixed support bars 30 which project towards each other. The fixed bars of one of the two series come in between the fixed bars of the other series, so as to enable the movable stand 17 to be placed in the same plane as the fixed stand 29, with the fixed bars and the movable bars 19, 30 in an interpenetrating position. <IMAGE>
