PURPOSE:To enhance working efficiency by automatically restoring a clogged nozzle to an open state, by a method wherein the temp. of a molten liquid immediately after coating is detected by a non-contact type temp. sensor and, when the clogging of the nozzle is sensed, a reversal type emitting nozzle is reversed only for a short time. CONSTITUTION:Since a molten adhesive B immediately after coating has relatively high temp., the pressure of said adhesive B is detected by the infrared temp. sensor 3 provided in the vicinity of a nozzle 4. The detection voltage of said sensor enters a control part 12 through an amplifier 11 and the control part 12 generates a definite short time indication signal when temp. abnormally lower than the surface temp. of the adhesive B is measured in said control part 12. On the basis of this indication signal, a motor 13 driving a conveyor 1 is temporarily stopped and, at the same time, a current is supplied to a solenoid valve 7 to supply compressed air to an actuator 8 from a compressed air source 14 and a shaft 6, that is, a nozzle 4 is reversed for a short time by a rack 9 and a pinion 10 to inject and remove foreign matters.
