PURPOSE:To form a uniform organism membrane readily, by cultivating a microorganism to give a culture solution, concentrating or without concentration, directly filtering the culture solution by a membrane filter and attaching and immobilizing the microorganism to the filter. CONSTITUTION:A microorganism such as methane forming bacteria HU strain, etc, is cultivated by a culture tank of stirring type, etc., to give a culture solution. The culture solution is directly filtered by a membrane filter (e.g. collodion membrane, silicic acid membrane or cellophane membrane) or concentrated and then filtered, the microorganism is attached and immobilized to the filter to form a microorganism membrane. thickness of the membrane and density of the microorganisms can be controlled by changing the amount of the culture solution to be filtered. Any organisms membrane can be formed by changing the size and the shape of the filter.
