PURPOSE:To easily read a desired image by providing respective changing-over mirrors of respective projection image-forming systems with a removable state in the common light axis of the projection image-forming system and separating mutually the read image surface of respective projection image-forming systems in a common light axis direction. CONSTITUTION:An operator sets frame images f1-f3 of desired microfilms F1-F3 to respective frame image illuminating positions of first third image- forming optical systems. Next, a selecting button is pushed, the frame image f1 is selected, and then, both changing-over mirrors 18 and 21 are turned off, and the frame image f1 illuminated at a lamp 9 is projected through a changing- over mirror 26 and an adapter lens 23 to a monitor screen 22. When the frame image f2 is selected, the changing-over mirror 18 is turned on, the changing-over mirror 21 is turned off, and the frame image f2 illuminated at a lamp 10 is projected on the monitor screen 22.
