PURPOSE:To stop a control subject shaft connected to a motor regardless of the revolving direction of a pulse generator by providing a revolving direction coincidence deciding circuit and a level inverting circuit. CONSTITUTION:If a position detecting pulse generator 19 is attached as shown in a figure (a), signals '1' and '0' are outputted from a motor revolving direction deciding circuit 4 and a pulse generator revolving direction deciding circuit 20 respectively as long as a motor 1 is driven forward. Thus a revolving direction coincidence deciding circuit 29 outputs the signal '0' at the rise edge of a speed coincidence deciding circuit 11. While a level inverting circuit 30 outputs the output of the circuit 20 as it is. As a result, a counter circuit 22 is counted down and a control subject shaft is stopped at a fixed position through the forward revolution side. Then signals '0' and '1' are outputted from the circuits 4 and 20 respectively together with the signal '0' outputted from the circuit 29 when the motor 1 is driven reversely. At the same time, the circuit 30 outputs the output of the circuit 20 as it is. Thus the control subject shaft is stopped at a fixed position through the reverse revolution side. When the generator 19 is attached as shown in a figure (b), the circuit has reverse revolutions and the control subject shaft is stopped at a fixed position through the forward and reverse rotation sides in both forward and reverse revolution modes respectively.
