The invention relates to the processing of bottles. Its subject is an automatic machine for subjecting bottles to three consecutive operations, this machine comprising, mounted on a frame: - a carousel having a vertical axis of rotation 4 with members for alternately performing the first A and third C operation, - an intermediate transfer device having a vertical axis of rotation 12, - two transfer stars between the carousel and the intermediate transfer device, one 3 on the entry side and the other 20 on the exit side, - means capable of actuating and controlling the various elements. This machine is particularly suitable for the operations of emptying, metering and filling, and for setting bottles of wine at a level (levelling bottles of wine), according to the champagne method (méthode champenoise). <IMAGE>
