PURPOSE:To make a redesign of a deflecting yoke needless and to increase a degree of freedom for designing the disposal of parts by making a right-and- left-bobbin-distortion-correcting modulated current flow in a horizontal deflecting coil through secondary coils of a saturable reactor. CONSTITUTION:A vertical input signal drawn from a vertical deflecting coil 5 is waveform-shaped and amplified at an operational amplification part 13, and it is supplied in the form of a parabolic current to a primary coil 9b of a saturable reactor 9. Subsequently, an inductance value of a secondary coil 9c of the saturable reactor 9c is parabolicly changed and a right and-left-bobbin distortion-correcting modulated current is made to flow in a horizontal deflecting coil 4 connected in series with the secondary coil 9c and so a correcting magnetic flux 17 is generated inside a core 2. Thus, interaction between the leaking flux of the saturable reactor and the magnetic flux of the deflecting yoke is uniformalized, so that a redesign of the deflecting yoke can be made needless. Because of no necessity of installing the saturable reactor on a circuit substrate, a degree of freedom for designing the disposal of parts can be increased.
