PURPOSE:To allow a liquid crystal shutter array itself to have an image forming capacity by placing a photomask and a micro-lens on a transparent substrate of a light input side, and specifying a distance of both of them against a focal distance of the micro-lens. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal 21 is inserted and held by oriented films 22A, 22B, and on its oriented film 22A, a pixel electrode 23 is placed at a prescribed interval, and in accordance with said electrode, a micro-lens 40 is placed. Also, on the oriented film 22a, a transparent substrate 25A is provided, and on its light input side, a photomask 27 is placed. Moreover, on the oriented film 22B, a common electrode 24 and a transparent substrate 25B are placed, and a photosensitive material 30 is placed. In such a state, a focal distance of the micro-lens 40 is set as (f), and a distance between the photomask 27 and the micro-lens 40, and a distance between the micro-lens 40 and a recording material 30 are set as 2f, respectively. In such a way, a light beam 31 inputted from an opening part of the photomask 27 does not go round to an adjacent picture element area by the photosensitive material 30. Accordingly, since said distances are specified, a liquid crystal shutter array itself is allowed to have an image forming capacity, and an image can be formed with high accuracy.
