PURPOSE:To form a one-chip processor incorporating a bulk RAM whose reliability is enhanced thanks to a high yield by combining plural small capacity RAM modules. CONSTITUTION:The bulk RAM incorporated in the one-chip processor 1 comprises by combining the plural small capacity RAM 2 modules with comparatively high yields. If defects in the RAM modules 2 composing the bulk RAM are detected, they can be switched to preliminary RAM modules on a RAM module basis. Hence the bulk RAM can be reconstituted and stored control information can be reloaded. Thus the one-chip processor can be formed which incorporates the bulk RAM with a high reliability and a high yield. |
