<p>PURPOSE:To feed a separated sheet at high speed by reliably separating a sheet from the following sheet by cooperation of a feed roller rotating at a comparatively low speed with a sheet separation auxiliary member, and then rotating the feed roller at high speed. CONSTITUTION:Individual sheets P1, P2 of stacked sheets P are sequentially separated one by one by cooperation of a rotating feed roller 29 with a sheet separating finger. At this time, the feed roller 29 is rotated at a comparatively low speed until the sheet P1 to be fed by rotation of the feed roller 29 is separated from the next sheet P2 to separate and feed one sheet reliably and stably. After such separation, the feed roller 29 is rotated at high speed, so that one separated sheet P1 is fed towards a registration roller at high speed.</p> |
