PURPOSE:To facilitate the transfer of reference operation of a supervisory items and to grasp the status of the entire system in details by means of a line system diagram by displaying sequentially the state change of the supervisory item to a display region of one or several lines of the line system diagram. CONSTITUTION:When a status change takes place in the supervisory item, it is registered on a table 4 of the line system diagram. The display 4 is given to the area 2 at the same time. In the occurrence of other status change, the status is registered in the table 5 and displayed next to the display area shown in caption 5. Assuming that the display areas are 2 lines, the next status change is registered and the display 6 is not given but the display of 'to be continued' is given to a caption 3. In referencing the caption 6, switch or keyboard entry is applied. As a result, the display of caption 6 is given to the display line in caption 5 and the display of caption 5 is given to the display line of caption 4. The display of caption 4 is erased. In repeating the operation, the registered status change is displayed sequentially on the display region 2 shown in line system diagram. 10 displaying the status change registered finally, the display of 'end' is given to caption 3. In applying the operation again, the display of caption 4 is given.
