PURPOSE:To contrive to reduce the access time up to an object track by eliminating the effect of a deflected track as soon as an optical head is moved by a stop position correction signal and locating a light beam in the vicinity of an object track address. CONSTITUTION:In applying track access while an optical head 5 is moved, a position correction signal correcting the stop position of the head 5 from an object track address is used. The head 5 is driven by an output of a disk drive memory 15 corresponding to the deviation of the track at the same time to move the head in following also to the deviation of track. When the head 5 is positioned, the light beam is positioned near the object track and a condensor lens 8 is also positioned to a prescribed location in the head 5 by a lens position signal in moving the head 5. Thus, the light beam is moved to an object track in a short time without being affected by the deviation of track.
