发明名称 DETECTION OF OBSERVATION POSITION UTILIZING ARTIFICIAL SATELLITE
摘要 PURPOSE:To enable the determining of the position of an observer without carrying any highly accurate time device on artificial satellites, by generating a time reference signal from a time reference station existing on the ground to ensure synchronization among three artificial satellites set on stationary orbits with a large angle of inclination. CONSTITUTION:Three artificial satellites are set in a geostationary orbit with a large angle of inclination and the orbit is so arranged to always maximum the area of a triangle as formed with the three satellites as apexes thereof. The satellites each carry a signal generator, a satellite-to-satellite communication device and a relay and a time relay connected to a satellite earth station. A time signal generated from a time reference station located on the earth is received with the three satellites and a signal synchronizing the time signal is transmitted direct to an observation point and via other artificial satellites. On the other hand, a data processor located at the observation point calculates the positioning of the observation point based on a time measuring signal of signals received and orbit information of the three artificial satellites.
