PURPOSE:To shape a vector at high accuracy, to make recognition processing more efficient and to enhance a recognition rate by using information obtained from recognition processing at that time at a shaping request in the middle of the recognition processing. CONSTITUTION:A recognition processing means 2 posts to a vector shaping and processing means 3 both information showing the type of shaping and information specifying vector data involved in the shaping when each processing step issues a shaping request. The vector shaping and processing means 3 reads related vector data out of a vector data storage part 4, shapes a vector as the shaping request specifies, and returns the results to the recognition processing means 2. The vector shaping and processing means 3 does not shape a vector according to some criteria, but evaluates information from the recognition processing means 2 to attain an optimum shaped vector. Since the vector shaping and processing can provide a shaping means based on information from the recognition processing, the titled system can be applied to the vectors of a complicated drawing. |
