PURPOSE:To prevent scattering toner from sticking on the dustproof glass of an image exposure device by providing one or plural electrodes which attract electrostatically charged scattering toner between the dustproof glass and a photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The toner attracting electrodes 9 and 10 are provided between the dustproof glass 4 of the image exposure device 6 and the photosensitive body 5. A voltage is applied between both electrodes 9 and 10 to establish an electric field between both electrodes. The direction of this electric field is nearly perpendicular to the optical path of image exposure, so when toner scattering from the surface of the photosensitive body 5 reaches this electric field area, the toner receives the force of the electric field and is attracted toward the toner attracting electrode 9 or 10 according to the electrostatic charging polarity of the toner to stick on the electrode. Therefore, the toner reaching the dustproof glass 4 becomes a little. Consequently, an image forming device is constituted which causes neither a decrease in the quantity of exposure nor an irregularity in exposure.
