The athletic shoe stud, esp. for a football boot, fits in a socket in the sole open to the bottom and contg. supporting faces spaced apart in the peripheral direction. The stud body has a fixing boss with support faces underneath by which it is detachably secured in the socket by insertion and turning, these bearing against those in the socket, while a further face on the body presses against the sole on the underside. Relative rotation is prevented between boss and socket. Seen in the peripheral direction, portions of the support faces (20,21,14,15) bearing against each other between the ends are at a greater or lesser radius from the axis of the body (101) and socket than the remaining portions. |
