In an open-end spinning machine having a multiplicity of spinning units which are arranged next to one another in a row on each machine side and which each have an opening device having a cut-off orifice assigned a stationary connecting means, from which the impurities are sucked off and picked up by means moving continuously in the longitudinal direction of the machine, provision is made for the means for sucking off and picking up the impurities to be arranged inside the open-end spinning machine between the two rows of spinning units and to contain at least one suck-off tube which extends as far as the stationary collecting means.
