The hand-held spray for oral hygiene has a body with a stem projecting from it, terminating in a nozzle. When the stem is extended from the body a single jet is discharged from the nozzle, and when it is retracted, a multiple jet is discharged. The body has a flanged top with a central opening (10) through which protrudes the stem (11) and a side connection for the water supply. The stem is pushed down against a spring which fits into a groove around its larger dia. base.
