PURPOSE:To transfer data by confirming the normalcy of an error detection circuit by transmitting data and simultaneously transmitting fault data and a fault report. CONSTITUTION:In one data transfer, normal data is transferred in a first normal cycle. When cycle end signal 6 is shown, the normal cycle ends. It is assumed that a fault cycle is shown by a fault cycle indicating signal 5, dummy fault data is transferred, an error signal is transferred and confirmed, and the cycle end signal 6 is shown. Then the fault cycle ends, and the fault cycle indicating signal 5 is set, thereby executing the report cycle. When the normal cycle and the fault cycle are executed in normal, a report cycle normally ends and reset a transfer action signal. Then the operation ends. But, when the error signal is set in the normal cycle or the error signal is not set in the fault cycle, the error signal is reported in the report cycle and the operation ends in abnormal.
