In discus-grinding machines, the individual mutually independent grindstone segments are fastened via clamping-strip segments. The clamping-strip segments for their part are fixed by screwing means in the prior art, so that when exchanging the grindstone segments a large number of screws have to be removed. To reduce the long maintenance times which this entails, there is proposed a hydraulic piston-cylinder arrangement which is connected to every second clamping-strip segment, seen over the circumference, and on actuation of the corresponding pressure-medium supply channels leads to lifting of the clamping-strip segments assigned to these hydraulic piston-cylinder arrangements.
