PURPOSE:To speedily deal with conditional branching and jump instructions by providing a means allocating plural element processors to preceding and succeeding stages in pipeline processing and a means varying the number of processors allocated to the preceding and succeeding stages in the middle of processing. CONSTITUTION:If a control processor 1 finds the element processor 12 that does not operate in a fixed time, it outputs a RESET pulse to the element processor 12, and changes a program memory #1 10 #2 11 and vice versa through a switch 9. Where m' element processors are not operating in a pre- element processor group and all processors in a post-element processor group are operating, the pre-element processor group comes to (m-m') and the post- element processor group to (n+m') through the operation. Thus the imbalance of processing amounts at the preceding and succeeding stages of the pipeline can be corrected. |
