PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition useful for various applications, by incorporating a polymerizable monomer in a composition prepared by reaction of e.g., a maleic acid monoester with a copolymer from specific styrene monomer and glycidyl(meth)acrylate. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be obtained by incorporating a resin composition prepared by reaction between (A) a copolymer from (i) a styrene monomer of formula (X is phenyl, alkylphenyl or halogenated phenyl; R3 is H or methyl) and (ii) glycidyl(meth)acrylate and (B) a maleic acid monoester of fumaric acid monoester (e.g., 2,3-dibromopropyl maleate, methyl fumarate) with (C) a polymerizable monomer. The amount of the component C to be incorporated is pref. such as to be 0.95-1.05 equivalents per equivalent of the epoxy group in said resin composition from the components A and B.
