COLOR FILTER FOR LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY BODY AND ITS PRODUCTION

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the contrast over the entire part of a panel by forming layers contg. blackened silver to the boundary parts of respective picture elements of 3 colors on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:A liquid prepd. by dispersing silver halide into gelatin is coated on the transparent substrate 1 or on the respective picture elements 2 of red, green and blue and is so exposed that light is cast only to the boundary parts 3 of the picture elements 2. Said coating is developed and fixed to form the layers 3 contg. the blackened silver. Since the blackened silver 3 absorbs light uniformly over the entire visible regions at a high coefft. of absorption, the contrast over the entire part of the panel as the black matrix is improved.
