PURPOSE:To widen the width of joints by a method in which a turnable endless rotator is attached to the periphery of the shaft core of a frame and a cutting blade to excavate the inner wall of a pit array is attached to the rotator to excavate both sides of the joints. CONSTITUTION:An excavator consists of the rod 5B of augers 5 on both ends serving as a fitting frame F, endless rotator to be turned around the rod 5B as a drive shaft and laid between the rods 58, and cutting blades. An array of pits A connected by narrow joints B is formed by the head 5A of auger 5, and soil block C position on both sides of the joints B is excavated by the cutting blades of the excavator. In the joints B of the pits A by the adjacent augers in the pit array, equal or nearly equal wide width of pit rows can be formed over the whole length.
