PURPOSE:To enable the transmission of high torque in either direction, normal or reverse, by arranging a pair of pulley constituent parts in the unidirectional screw groove cut on a turning shaft so as to be spaced, and further providing stopper parts on both sides of the screw grooves. CONSTITUTION:A pulley 10 is comprised of a pair of pulley constituent parts 12, 14 which are divided into two parts at nearly central part in the axial direction. On the outer opposed peripheral surfaces of the pulley constituent parts 12, 14, taper surfaces 16, 18 are formed to constitute a V-shaped groove 20. On the small diameter part 30 of a turning shaft 24, a screw groove 28 is formed so that it is screwed in the screw groove at the central part of respective pulley constituent parts 12, 14. The end surface of the large diameter part 32 of the turning shaft 24 functions as a stopper part 34, and further a stopper ring 36 is fitted on the end of the small diameter part 30. Thus, a V-belt 22 is firmly held between the pulley constituent parts for the rotation of the turning shaft 24 even in either direction, enabling high torque to be transmitted.
