PURPOSE:To restrain the rise of the consentration of refrigerant for refrirgerator oil in a refrigerating cycle compressor receiving a compression section and a motor in an enclosing container by providing a refrigerant tray formed to surround a stator coil end between the motor and the compression section. CONSTITUTION:A rotary type compressor for refrigerating cycle receives a compression section C and a motor M for driving said section in an enclosing container 1 which encloses refrigerator oil for lubricating and sealing the compression section on the bottom. Then, a refrigerant tray 4 formed to surround a stator coil end E of the motor M is disposed between the motor M and the upper bearing 6 of compression section C and secured fixedly to said container 1. When the compressor R is in the cool state like that of starting warming and cooling, liquid refrigerant provided from a condensed portion of gas refrigerant and dropping from a discharge path 20 can be collected by the tray 4 to prevent from dropping into the refrigerator oil.
