PURPOSE:To maintain a normal feed quantity of a continuous business form even upon restarting use, by correcting the position of an idle gear by about one face width in a paperfeeding direction by a position-correcting means in the case where the idle gear is tentatively disengaged from a gear on the tractor side and then returned, during the use of the continuous business form. CONSTITUTION:During the use of a continuous business form P2, an operator may turn a lever 19 in the direction for displacing an idle gear 24 by mistake and, after noticing the mistake, may turn the lever 19 back to an initial position of the lever. In such a case, the idle gear 24 is disengaged from a pin wheel gear 11, and is again engaged with the pin wheel gear 11. At the time of re-engagement, therefore, a tooth surface of the idle gear 24 presses a tooth surface of the pin wheel gear 11, whereby the pin wheel gear 11 is rotated reversely to a direction for paper feeding, by about one face width. When a mis-operation on the lever 19 is thus made, a position-correcting means constituted of a CPU and parts of a ROM and a RAM is driven based on a turning-ON action of a microswitch 21, whereby the pin wheel gear 11 is correctively rotated.
