PURPOSE:To lower the density of light stains by incorporating latex of a cyan color image forming polymer coupler having two kinds of specified repeating units and capable of forming a dye by coupling with the oxidized product of an arom. prim. amine developing agent into a silver halide emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:Latex of a cyan color image forming polymer coupler (cyan polymer coupler latex) having at least two kinds of repeating units represented by formulae I, II and capable of forming a dye by coupling with the oxidized product of an arom. prim. amine developing agent is incorporated into a silver halide emulsion layer. In the formulae I, II, R1 is H, 1-4C lower alkyl or halogen, X is phenylene, -CONH- or the like, Q is the residue of the cyan coupler coupling with an oxidized arom. prim. amine developing agent, R2 is H, 1-4C lower alkyl or halogen and each of R3-R7 is H, alkyl or the like. Thus, light stains can be reduced. |
