Transport crate in which at least certain walls (1, 2, 3, 4) are constituted by wire grids and which has a closure lid formed by two complementary flaps (5) hinged on the top edge of two opposite walls so that they can be folded-back towards each other in their closed position, characterized in that these two complementary flaps (5) comprise : - on the one hand lateral projections (8) or other bearing members which are capable of bearing on the top edge (7) of the adjacent lateral walls (2, 4) of said crate at the time of folding-back of said flaps in the closed position, - and on the other hand a foldable locking device (10) mounted so as to be capable of sliding displacement in the transverse direction and adapted to carry a locking finger (15) having an elbowed end portion (16) so that it can be engaged beneath the top edge (7) of the adjacent lateral wall (2, 4), this locking device being located near one of the corners of the free edge of the corresponding flap.</p> |
