<p>PURPOSE:To limit worn parts to two parts consisting of a part of a detecting metal fitting and a part of a detecting piece by providing the detecting metal fitting having a step part on the tip end of a detecting rod, so as to perform gap adjustment of a brake lining. CONSTITUTION:A stroke detecting metal fitting 34 is provided on the tip end of a detecting rod 32, while a detection gap is set by means of a nut 35. On the side face of the stroke detecting metal fitting 34 is formed a step part 34a which overlaps a step part 37a formed on a detecting piece 37. When the number of braking operations increases and a lining is worn away, a magnet stroke becomes large and overlap of respective step parts 34a, 37a of the stroke detecting metal fitting 34 and the detecting piece 37 is undone so that the detecting piece 37 rotates. Accordingly, since a switch is operated according to the movement of a lever and a gap of the brake lining is automatically adjusted by moving the blade of a ratchet, worn parts are limited to two parts consisting of a part of the detecting metal fitting 34 and a part of the detecting piece 37.</p> |
