NEW MATERIAL:Monoazo compds. of formula I in the free form. In the formula, D is napthylene, methyl, ethyl, methoxy, phenoxy, acetylamino, 2-carboxyvinyl etc.; one of A1 and A2 is a sulfo group and the other is H, methoxy etc.; R1 and R2 are each a lower alkyl; B1 and B2 are each methyl, ethoxy etc.; Y1 and Y2 are each -CH=CH2 or -CH2CH2Z (wherein Z is a group which can be removed by an alkali). USE:Fiber-reactive dyes which have excellent fastness, ability of leveling and water-solubility and exhibit good buildup. PREPARATION:A product obtd. by reacting a diaminobenzene of formula II with a diketene is condensed with an amine of formula III and cyanuric chloride to obtain a compd. of formula IV. An amine of D-NH2 is diazotized and coupled with the compd. of formula IV and the product is condensed with an amine of formula V to obtain the desired compd.
