PURPOSE:To provide a molding compsn. for letters, design patterns, etc., which are easy to handle and has excellent tackiness, heat-curability, flow characteristics, etc., containing a crosslinking material, a rubbery elastomer capable of reacting with said crosslinking material to cure and a filler. CONSTITUTION:A crosslinking material (e.g., a resol type alkylphenol resin, an epoxy resin) is mixed with a rubbery elastomer capable of reacting with said crosslinking material to cure (e.g., solid polyisoprene, butyl rubber) and a filler (e.g., zinc white, kaolin clay) as essential ingredients to obtain the desired molding compsn. for letters, design patterns, etc. The compsn. is molded into a sheet. Letters, design patterns, etc. are punched from the sheet by using a punching die, or desired letters, design patterns, etc., are formed on the sheet by means of engraving. The letters, the design patterns, etc., are temporarily fixed to an automobile body, etc., and heated to cure and fix them.
