PURPOSE:To obtain an impact-resistant resin excellent in colorability and gloss, by graft-polymerizing an aromatic vinyl monomer, etc., with an acrylic rubber produced by seed emulsion polymerization so as to adjust the refractive index. CONSTITUTION:A monomer mixture containing 70-100wt% 1-8C alkyl acrylate monomer is emulsion-polymerized to produce seed rubber particles of a rubber particle diameter of 0.03-0.15mum. 1pt.wt. these particles as seeds is mixed with 2.5-125pts.wt. monomer mixture comprising 20-94.9wt% alkyl acrylate, 79.9-5wt% vinyl monomer which can give a polymer of a refractive index >=1.5 and 0.1-5wt% polyvinyl monomer, and the seed emulsion polymerization of the resulting mixture is performed to produce an acrylic rubber of a rubber particle diameter of 0.15-0.5mum. 100pts.wt. of this rubber is mixed with 10-100 pts.wt. aromatic vinyl monomer, etc., and the mixture is subjected to crosslinking grafting by a seed emulsion polymerization process, and 50-185pts. wt. vinyl cyanide, etc., are graft-polymerized with the product.
