HUMAN PANCREATIC SECRETORY TRYPSIN INHIBITORS PRODUCED BY RECOMBINANT DNA METHODS AND PROCESSES FOR THE PRODUCTION OF SAME

A protein possessing at least one active site capable of inhibiting trypsin and preventing trypsin activation of zymogen precursors of hydrolytic enzymes, along with recombinant methods for the production of this enzyme. Analogs of this inhibitor which also possess the ability to inhibit trypsin are also disclosed. Certain of these analogs additionally possess an enhanced ability to inhibit various proteolytic enzymes, such as elastase.
