PURPOSE:To effectively use a line and to eliminate that the top of communication is cut by delaying and storing transmission information, switching to voice simultaneous communication with time shorter than a delay time and outputting stored transmission information to a telephone line if speech is sent at the time of MODEM communication. CONSTITUTION:If a device is in a MODEM communication state and voice is inputted from the transmitter 2 of a telephone set 1, it is detected in a transmitting detector 8, and a CPU9 terminationprocesses the current transmission information of a MODEM10 and requests an opposite of a line switching from the MODEM10 to the telephone set. While this period, voice from the transmitter is stored and delayed in a delay circuit 4. Then, a line switch 6 is switched from the side of the MODEM to that of the telephone set, first voice is outputted from the circuit 4 and transmitted to a public line 7 through a hybrid circuit 5 and the switch 6. If the termination of a conversation is detected, the switch 6 is switched to the side of the MODEM, and other information is transmitted and received through the CPU9 and the MODEM10. With the effective use of the communication line, the cut of the top of communication can be eliminated.
