PURPOSE:To reduce the generating probability of a seek error by rewriting a movement quantity table according to the rise in temperature of a magnetic disk driving device before a magnetic head is moved and moving the magnetic head based on the rewritten result. CONSTITUTION:Before the magnetic head 2 is moved, the movement quantity table is rewritten according to the rise in the temperature of the magnetic disk driving device for driving the magnetic disk and the magnetic head 2 and the magnetic head 2 is moved by a step motor 7 based on the rewritten result. Thereby, the probability for generating the seek error can be reduced and a correct positioning to an object recording track can be realized, so that the density of the recording track can be enhanced.
