<p>A dehumidifier device for absorbing water vapour from ambient air comprises a container (10) constructed of fabric woven from multifilament yarns of fibreglass, and confining granular desiccant material (11) such as silica gel having a visibly distinctive moisture indicator such as a thermally resistant cobalt compound. The fabric is of a critically selected construction that permits visual observation of the confined granules through the fabric while effectively retaining the granules. The device is capable of repeated cycles of absorption of moisture and thermally induced desorption.</p> |
