PURPOSE:To easily and well perform control for accessing, by impressing a voltage on an optical disk on one side and the voltage with inverted polarity on the optical disk on the other side, out of two sheets of optical disks. CONSTITUTION:At the time of accessing, switches 35 and 40 are turned on respectively, and the non-inversion input terminals of operational amplifiers 34 and 39 are grounded respectively, and the outer peripheral direction of a video disk 1 is set in a direction of arrow head A, and the inner peripheral direction in a direction of arrow head B, and the outer peripheral direction of a compact disk 2 is set in the direction of arrow head B, and inner peripheral direction in the direction of arrow head A. Thus, at the time of accessing, the polarity of the voltage to be impressed on the tracking coil 12 and the thread motor 20 of an optical pickup 10 is inverted when it is impressed on the video disk 1, and on the compact disk 2. In such way, it is possible to easily and well perform the control for the accessing.
