PURPOSE:To improve durability, by forming a slide valve from a synthetic resin material and applying a metal plating process to a sliding part of the slide valve, in case of the slide valve which provides a jet needle for metering a delivery amount of fuel to an intake path and slides in the lengthwise axial center direction of the jet needle. CONSTITUTION:A carburetor main unit 1 provides an intake path 2 penetrating being formed by opening a guide cylinder 3 to the upper from an itermediate part of the intake path 2, and the carburetor main unit 1 forms a float chamber 5 in the bottom side while arranges a slide valve 7 vertically movably in the guide cylinder 3. And a jet needle 8, fixed to the slide valve 7, is inserted into a needle jet 10, connected to a main jet 9 submerged below a fixed level of fluid in the float chamber 5, performing metering of fuel. Here the slide valve 7 is formed by synthetic resin, while at least a sliding part (cylinder peripheral part) of the slide valve applies a metal plating process. In this way, the synthetic resin made slide valve 7 improves its heat resistance and durability against sliding action.
