PURPOSE:To obtain a hair cosmetic, having effective dandruff inhibiting action and readily utilizable as a cosmetic because of water solubility as well as excellent safety on the skin and particularly preventing dandruff, by blending a Taste Tea extract. CONSTITUTION:A hair cosmetic, obtained by blending a Taste Tea extract in an amount of >=0.0001wt%, preferably >=0.001wt% (the upper limit is normally about 0.2wt%) based on the weight of the composition expressed in terms of dry residue in a hair cosmetic, e.g. hair tonic, hair liquid, hair cream, shampoo, rinse, etc., and capable of exhibiting excellent antidandruff effects. The above- mentioned hair cosmetic is sage even by applying to the human head part, as opposed to conventional cosmetics containing an antimicrobial agent or germicide. Since the afore-mentioned extract can be freely dissolved in both water and oil by dissolving in water and/or alcohol, the application range is wider than that of oil-soluble substances, e.g. vitamin E, etc., and the price is low. |
