PURPOSE:To obtain color look-up table (CLUT) images of the stable quality regardless of some characteristic variance of an equipment, by correcting data on an image input part based on the input CLUT data of a standard color and the produced CLUT data. CONSTITUTION:The CLUT data of a standard color is inputted through a standard CLUT data input part 10 and stored in a CLUT data memory part 12. Then an original 1 of a standard color is photographed by a color camera 2 and fetched by a picture memory part 4 via an image input part 3 as RGB data. A CLUT data producing part 11 scans the standard color image data of the part 4 for each color for production of the CLUT data and stores this data in the part 12. This input CLUT data is compared with the produced CLUT data by a control part 15 for correction of characteristics of the part 3 and stores these corrected characteristics in the part 12. An image converting part 13 the CLUT data into the CLUT image data to store it in a memory part 6 and at the same time displays the image data on a color CRT 9 via a CLUT part 7 and an image output part 8.
