PURPOSE:To prolong the life of a battery incorporated in an identifying information storage device by selecting a normal power consumption receiving circuit or a minute power consumption receiving circuit in accordance with the optical transmission signal of an identifying device. CONSTITUTION:In the initial state, a single chip microcomputer 4 is in the reset state and a reception preamplifier 3 is in the minute power consumption mode, and the power of a lithium battery 9 is consumed by a reception signal detecting circuit 7 and a random access memory 5 almost. When an identifying device 1 transmits an optical transmission signal 51, a reception signal detecting circuit 7 outputs a reception detection signal 101 to the single chip microcomputer 4 and a receiving part control circuit 6. The single chip microcomputer 4 releases reset, and a transmitting part control circuit 14 turns on a transistor 13 to supply power to an infrared light emitting diode 15 and an LED driver 12. The receiving part control circuit 6 which receives the reception detection signal 101 switches the mode of the receiving preamplifier 3 from the minute power consumption mode to the normal power consumption mode to receive high-speed data. |
