<p>PURPOSE:To control a rolling pitch in a target value with high accuracy by finding an estimating rolling pitch from the tail end passing timing of the preceding material and the biting timing of the succeeding material and correcting the transfer speed of a rolling material based on the difference from a target rolling pitch. CONSTITUTION:A preceding rolled stock A coming out of a forestep rolling mill 9 is rolled by a rolling mill 1 and after its tail end having passed through the rolling mill 1 the actual moving speed of the rolled stock. A of the case of the tip of the succeeding rolling material B been bitten into the rolling mill 1 is detected by a detector 5, the timing of the tail and passing through the rolling mill 1 is found every moment and the timing in which the tip is bitten into the rolling mill 1 from the time when the succeeding rolling material B passed through the forestep rolling mill 9 is found as an estimating rolling pitch from the current speed of transfer tables 2a-2h. This value is compared with the target rolling pitch, with the difference thereof the transfer speed of the succeeding material B in the speed controllable section l of the transfer tables 2a-2h is continuously corrected by a programmable controller 8 and the target rolling pitch is controlled.</p> |
