PURPOSE:To reduce the center segregation of the ingot inner part and the inclusion under an ingot skin by using the roll for electro-magnetic agitation that each coil is coiled so as to be orthogonal with the direction of a roll shaft and giving electro-magnetic agitation force. CONSTITUTION:An inductor 1 coils a coil 11 so as to be orthogonal with roll axial direction via the pole 12 provjecting in plural pieces in series along the length direction of a longer iron core 12. A sleeve 2 is composed of nonmagnetic material and fitted freely rotatably separately from the iron core 13 to the outside of the inductor 1 via a hub 3. The roll R for electro-magnetic agitation is installed along a casting direction on the side face of a strand each two pieces of those which coiling direction of a coil is same and those which is reversed. And by impressing to a roll the AC which phase is differed by 90 deg. a mobile magnetic field is generated in parallel to the casting direction to obtain the agitation force and a molten steel is stirred in the same or reverse direction. |
